Sony Professional Media is excited to announce the Mobile Storage Unit, model PXU-MS240 that expands its current offering of tapeless products. This innovative product provides EX camcorder users with portable, self-contained, high-speed, temporary mass storage that allows virtually unlimited back-up of SxS PRO™ Memory Card content and improved workflow. This affordable storage solution is made possible by using the removable Hard Drive Cartrides; model PXU-HC240 that can be purchased separately in order to expand and meet user’s unique needs. Some of the key features of the PXU-MS240 include:

• One-Touch backup and formatting of SxS PRO™ Cards
• Fast Transfer of Video Content from SxS PRO™ (up to 10X Real Time)
• Removable 240GB Hard Drive Cartridges (PXU-HC240)
• A PXU-HC240 is projected to hold more than 13hrs (HQ mode) / 17hrs (SP mode) of video.
• With the available e-SATA connection users can quickly offload content from the Mobile Storage Unit into their NLE or edit directly from the unit.
• Sony XDCAM EX camcorder compatible via SXS Pro media.
