SONY's SxS PRO™ Device Driver

SxS PRO™ Device Driver is required to be installed when users transfer and edit their first videos shoot by XDCAM EX onto their personal computer. This action is required only one time.

The SxS™ Device Drivers can be downloaded from this page. Before downloading the licensed Program, read the following agreement.

Device Driver for Windows

Recommended Windows OS Environment
• Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 2 or later
• Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 or later
• Windows Vista Home Basic
• Windows Vista Home/Premium
• Windows Vista Business Windows Vista Ultimate
These OS must be factory-installed. Operation is not guaranteed for operating systems later than the one described above.

Download Instructions
1. Download the SxS_Driver_Installer.exe file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
2. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the SxS_Driver_Installer.exe file to begin the installation.
3. At the "Welcome to the InstallShield Wizard for “SxS PRO" window", click Next.
4. At the "InstallShield Wizard Complete" window, click Finish.
5. The installation of the SxS PRO™ is complete.

Device Driver for Macintosh

Recommended Macintosh OS Environment • Mac OS X v10.4 (v10.4.9 or later)
These OS must be factory-installed. Operation is not guaranteed for operating systems later than the one described above.

Download Instructions
1. Download the SxS_Device_Driver.dmg file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
2. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the SxS_Device_Driver.dmg file to begin the installation.
3. Double click the SxS_Device_Driver Installer at the SxS Device Driver window. Follow the message of the installer window and operate the installation.
4. Once the installation is completed, click on the [Restart] button.
5. After restarting, insert SxS memory card into ExpressCard slot. SxS memory card will be recognized as removable drive.

Note: This device driver is supported by PC ExpressCard/34 or ExpressCard 54 slot (standard equipment)
Before beginning the following procedure, ensure that the SxS PRO™ is disconnected from the computer.
During the installation of this update, be sure that you are logged in as the administrator or as a user with administrative rights.
To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs.
The taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
Operation is not guaranteed for all computers even if they comply with the recommended environment.
